If I say “fruit”, each person will have a different and perhaps very specific thing in mind. It could be an apple, a banana, or even my favorite, blueberries. The same is true if I say “box”. What sort of box comes to mind? Is it wooden or cardboard? If it’s a cardboard box, is it open or closed? If it’s open, is it all the way open? Can we see inside it or is the flap down? Is there anything on the outside of the box? Is there a shipping label? Is there tape? There are so many questions, so many opportunities to refine that image, to tell a story.
